Singer, songwriter, author Laronda Dawson is dedicated to leading people into the presence of God through her music. She will tell you that her music is an extension of her own personal time with the Lord. Many of her original songs come as a result of spending time alone with God. Influenced by LaRue Howard, CeCe Winans, Kari Jobe, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Babbie Mason and Whitney Houston, Laronda exhibits a similar passion for changing lives through worship music. God gifted Laronda to usher in the presence of God as a singer/songwriter, and for more than two decades, she has cultivated the gift of writing and singing songs for worship.
Laronda is the Founder of Laronda Dawson Ministries and The Gospel Room Music Group. She is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, producer and entrepreneur. She ministers weekly as a praise and worship leader at World Covenant Christian Center, Pastored by Reginald and Wanta Ezell, located in Conyers, Georgia. Fulfilling the mandate to lead people into the presence of God through true her music, he is ready to share regardless of the size of the platform. Her first single, “Be High and Lifted Up” was released Dec 3, 2016. Produced by Ed Anderson of Edge Music LLC, along with Stellar Award winning Artist and Vocal Producer LaRue Howard. Laronda released a new song of worship to the world, with her new single ” Be High and Lifted Up.” This song depicts the love of the Father, the resurrection of Jesus on the cross and the sacrifice made for our salvation. Laronda is sending a heart’s call to those who are called to the music ministry with her ability to create authentic worship and praise music. She will draw many back to the heart of true worship, through pure original music, that will draw the love and reverence back to God.
Look for Laronda’s new EP ” I Worship You”, released February 24, 2018. It consists of a mix of intimate worship and praise songs that challenge the believer’s heart to step away from the noisy world to refuel and glean from the Lord. Along with a feature song “When I Get There,” with its upbeat catchy tempo and compelling message, you can feel the presence of God throughout the entire song. Laronda is a member of Worship Leaders Association, Ladies Leading Worship, Babbie Mason’s Inner Circle, and Tennessee Songwriters Association. Laronda’s new book “The Posture of Humility” is set to release Summer of 2018. Laronda and her husband of 20 years, Fred Dawson, are the proud parents of three children.
